English and the English education in Italy

Italy's official language is Italian.
An Italian start learning English when they are 8 .
They don't speak English very well because English education in Italy focused mainly on teaching grammatical rules.
Like Korea, Italian uaually speak broken English in other words, pseudo anglicism.
Recently learning English creates a boom among the italian. Because it is a common belief that English have a good influence on good jop and the best universities. So many people look for English language academies or go overseas on costly training programs and children are admitted to foreign schools.
